Leviticus Chapter 16
Chapter 16
-
[Lev 16:1-34 NKJV] 1 Now YAHUAH spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before YAHUAH, and died; 2 and YAHUAH said to Moses: “Tell Aaron your brother not to come at any time into the Holy inside the veil, before the mercy seat which [is] on the ark, lest he die; for I will appear in the cloud above the mercy seat. 3 “Thus Aaron shall come into the Holy: with a young bull as a sin offering, and a ram as a burnt offering. 4 “He shall put the holy linen tunic and the linen trousers on his body; he shall be girded with a linen sash, and with the linen turban he shall be attired. These [are] holy garments. Therefore he shall wash his body in water, and put them on. 5 “And he shall take from the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats as a sin offering, and one ram as a burnt offering. 6 “Aaron shall offer the bull as a sin offering, which [is] for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house. 7 “He shall take the two goats and present them before YAHUAH [at] the door of the tabernacle of meeting. 8 “Then Aaron shall cast lots for the two goats: one lot for YAHUAH and the other lot for
the scapegoat[H5799]Azazel. 9 “And Aaron shall bring the goat on which YAHUAH’s lot fell, and offer it [as] a sin offering. 10 “But the goat on which the lot fell tothe scapegoat[H5799]Azazel shall be presented alive before YAHUAH, to make atonement upon it, to let it goas the scapegoatto[H5799]Azazel into the wilderness. 11 “And Aaron shall bring the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house, and shall kill the bull as the sin offering which [is] for himself. 12 “Then he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from the altar before YAHUAH, with his hands full of sweet incense beaten fine, and bring [it] inside the veil. 13 “And he shall put the incense on the fire before YAHUAH, that the cloud of incense may cover the mercy seat that [is] on the Testimony, lest he die. 14 “He shall take some of the blood of the bull and sprinkle [it] with his finger on the mercy seat on the east [side]; and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times. 15 “Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering, which [is] for the people, bring its blood inside the veil, do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the mercy seat and before the mercy seat. 16 “So he shall make atonement for the Holy, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions, for all their sins; and so he shall do for the tabernacle of meeting which remains among them in the midst of their uncleanness. 17 “There shall be no man in the tabernacle of meeting when he goes in to make atonement in the Holy, until he comes out, that he may make atonement for himself, for his household, and for all the assembly of Israel. 18 “And he shall go out to the altar that [is] before YAHUAH, and make atonement for it, and shall take some of the blood of the bull and some of the blood of the goat, and put it on the horns of the altar all around. 19 “Then he shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times, cleanse it, and consecrate it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel. 20 “And when he has made an end of atoning for the Holy, the tabernacle of meeting, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat. 21 “Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, confess over it all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, concerning all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat, and shall send [it] away into the wilderness by the hand of a suitable man. 22 “The goat shall bear on itself all their iniquities to an uninhabited land; and he shall release the goat in the wilderness. 23 “Then Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of meeting, shall take off the linen garments which he put on when he went into the Holy, and shall leave them there. 24 “And he shall wash his body with water in a holy place, put on his garments, come out and offer his burnt offering and the burnt offering of the people, and make atonement for himself and for the people. 25 “The fat of the sin offering he shall burn on the altar. 26 “And he who released the goatas the scapegoatto[H5799]Azazel shall wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward he may come into the camp. 27 “The bull [for] the sin offering and the goat [for] the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the Holy, shall be carried outside the camp. And they shall burn in the fire their skins, their flesh, and theiroffal[H6569]dung. 28 “Then he who burns them shall wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward he may come into the camp. 29 “[This] shall be a statute forever for you: In the seventh month, on the tenth of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, [whether] a native of your own country or a stranger who dwells among you. 30 “For on that day shallmakebe made atonement for you, to cleanse you, [that] you may be clean from all your sins before YAHUAH. 31 “It [is] a sabbath of solemn rest for you, and you shall afflict your souls. [It is] a statute forever. 32 “And the priest, who is anointed and consecrated to minister as priest in his father’s place, shall make atonement, and put on the linen clothes, the holy garments; 33 “then he shall make atonement for the Holy Sanctuary, and he shall make atonement for the tabernacle of meeting and for the altar, and he shall make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly. 34 “This shall be an everlasting statute for you, to make atonement for the children of Israel, for all their sins, once a year.” And he did as YAHUAH commanded Moses.-
[Jer 3:6-25 NKJV] 6 YAHUAH said also to me in the days of Josiah the king: “Have you seen what backsliding Israel has done? She has gone up on every high mountain and under every green tree, and there played the harlot. 7 “And I said, after she had done all these [things], ‘Return to Me.’ But she did not return. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it. 8 “Then I saw that for all the causes for which backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a certificate of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear, but went and played the harlot also. 9 “So it came to pass, through her casual harlotry, that she defiled the land and committed adultery with stones and trees. 10 “And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah has not turned to Me with her whole heart, but in pretense,” says YAHUAH. 11 Then YAHUAH said to me, “Backsliding Israel has shown herself more righteous than treacherous Judah. 12 “Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say: ‘Return, backsliding Israel,’ says YAHUAH; ‘I will not cause My anger to fall on you. For I [am] merciful,’ says YAHUAH; ‘I will not rzfemain angry forever. 13 Only acknowledge your iniquity, That you have transgressed against YAHUAH your God, And have scattered your charms To alien deities under every green tree, And you have not obeyed My voice,’ says YAHUAH. 14 “Return, O backsliding children,” says YAHUAH; “for I am married to you. I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion. 15 “And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding. 16 “Then it shall come to pass, when you are multiplied and increased in the land in those days,” says YAHUAH, “that they will say no more, ‘The ark of the covenant of YAHUAH.’ It shall not come to mind, nor shall they remember it, nor shall they visit [it], nor shall it be made anymore. 17 “At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of YAHUAH, and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of YAHUAH, to Jerusalem. No more shall they follow the dictates of their evil hearts. 18 “In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given as an inheritance to your fathers. 19 “But I said: ‘How can I put you among the children And give you a pleasant land, A beautiful heritage of the hosts of nations?’ “And I said: ‘You shall call Me, “My Father,” And not turn away from Me.’ 20 Surely, [as] a wife treacherously departs from her husband, So have you dealt treacherously with Me, O house of Israel,” says YAHUAH. 21 A voice was heard on the desolate heights, Weeping [and] supplications of the children of Israel. For they have perverted their way; They have forgotten YAHUAH their God. 22 “Return, you backsliding children, [And] I will heal your backslidings.” “Indeed we do come to You, For You are YAHUAH our God. 23 Truly, in vain [is salvation hoped for] from the hills, [And from] the multitude of mountains; Truly, in YAHUAH our God [Is] the salvation of Israel. 24 For shame has devoured The labor of our fathers from our youth—Their flocks and their herds, Their sons and their daughters. 25 We lie down in our shame, And our reproach covers us. For we have sinned against YAHUAH our God, We and our fathers, From our youth even to this day, And have not obeyed the voice of YAHUAH our God.”

[Jer 3:1-5 NKJV] 1 “They say, ‘If a man divorces his wife, And she goes from him And becomes another man’s, May he return to her again?’ Would not that land be greatly polluted? But you have played the harlot with many lovers; Yet return to Me,” says YAHUAH. 2 “Lift up your eyes to the desolate heights and see: Where have you not lain [with men]? By the road you have sat for them Like an Arabian in the wilderness; And you have polluted the land With your harlotries and your wickedness. 3 Therefore the showers have been withheld, And there has been no latter rain. You have had a harlot’s forehead; You refuse to be ashamed. 4 Will you not from this time cry to Me, ‘My Father, You [are] the guide of my youth? 5 Will He remain angry forever? Will He keep it to the end?’ Behold, you have spoken and done evil things, As you were able.”

[Exo 30:22-33 KJV] 22 Moreover YAHUAH spake unto Moses, saying, 23 Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred [shekels], and of sweet cinnamon half so much, [even] two hundred and fifty [shekels], and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty [shekels], 24 And of cassia five hundred [shekels], after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of oil olive an hin: 25 And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil. 26 And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the testimony, 27 And the table and all his vessels, and the candlestick and his vessels, and the altar of incense, 28 And the altar of burnt offering with all his vessels, and the laver and his foot. 29 And thou shalt sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy. 30 And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that [they] may minister unto me in the priest’s office. 31 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations. 32 Upon man’s flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make [any other] like it, after the composition of it: it [is] holy, [and] it shall be holy unto you. 33 Whosoever compoundeth [any] like it, or whosoever putteth [any] of it upon a stranger, shall even be cut off from his people.

[Heb 10:1-18 KJV] 1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, [and] not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. 3 But in those [sacrifices there is] a remembrance again [made] of sins every year. 4 For [it is] not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. 5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: 6 In burnt offerings for sin thou hast had no pleasure. 7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. 8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure [therein]; which are offered by the law; 9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Yahusha Ha’Mashiach once. 11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 But
this man[g846]He,after he had offered[g4374]offering one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 15 [Whereof] the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, 16 This [is] the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith YAHUAH, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 18 Now where remission of these [is, there is] no more offering for sin.- He but one for sins offering sacrifice into the [g1336]perpetual sitting down at the right hand God
