Chapter 17

  1. [Lev 17:1-16 NKJV] 1 And YAHUAH spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Speak to Aaron, to his sons, and to all the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘This [is] the thing which YAHUAH has commanded, saying: 3 “Whatever man of the house of Israel who kills an ox or lamb or goat in the camp, or who kills [it] outside the camp, 4 “and does not bring it to the door of the tabernacle of meeting to offer an offering to YAHUAH before the tabernacle of YAHUAH, the guilt of bloodshed shall be imputed to that man. He has shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people, 5 “to the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices which they offer in the open field, that they may bring them to YAHUAH at the door of the tabernacle of meeting, to the priest, and offer them [as] peace offerings to YAHUAH. 6 “And the priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of YAHUAH [at] the door of the tabernacle of meeting, and burn the fat for a sweet aroma to YAHUAH. 7 “They shall no more offer their [h8163]hairy sacrifices, after whom [h834]wherewith they have played the harlot. This shall be a statute forever for them throughout their generations.” ’ 8 “Also you shall say to them: ‘Whatever man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell among you, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice, 9 ‘and does not bring it to the door of the tabernacle of meeting, to offer it to YAHUAH, that man shall be cut off from among his people. 10 ‘And whatever man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell among you, who eats any blood, I will set My face against that person who eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people. 11 ‘For the life of the flesh [is] in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it [is] the blood [that] makes atonement for the soul.’ 12 “Therefore I said to the children of Israel, ‘No one among you shall eat blood, nor shall any stranger who dwells among you eat blood.’ 13 “Whatever man of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell among you, who hunts and catches any animal or bird that may be eaten, he shall pour out its blood and cover it with dust; 14 “for [it is] the life of all flesh. Its blood sustains its life. Therefore I said to the children of Israel, ‘You shall not eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off.’ 15 “And every person who eats what died [naturally] or what was torn [by beasts, whether he is] a native of your own country or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. Then he shall be clean. 16 “But if he does not wash [them] or bathe his body, then he shall bear his guilt.”

    1. [Isa 66:3-4 NKJV] 3 “He who kills a bull [is as if] he slays a man; He who sacrifices a lamb, [as if] he breaks a dog’s neck; He who offers a grain offering, [as if he offers] swine’s blood; He who burns incense, [as if] he blesses an idol. Just as they have chosen their own ways, And their soul delights in their abominations, 4 So will I choose their delusions, And bring their fears on them; Because, when I called, no one answered, When I spoke they did not hear; But they did evil before My eyes, And chose [that] in which I do not delight.”

  1. [1Ki 18:20-40 NKJV] 20 So Ahab sent for all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together on Mount Carmel. 21 And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If YAHUAH [is] God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word. 22 Then Elijah said to the people, “I alone am left a prophet of YAHUAH; but Baal’s prophets [are] four hundred and fifty men. 23 “Therefore let them give us two bulls; and let them choose one bull for themselves, cut it in pieces, and lay [it] on the wood, but put no fire [under it]; and I will prepare the other bull, and lay [it] on the wood, but put no fire [under it]. 24 “Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of YAHUAH; and the God who answers by fire, He is God.” So all the people answered and said, “It is well spoken.” 25 Now Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, “Choose one bull for yourselves and prepare [it] first, for you [are] many; and call on the name of your god, but put no fire [under it].” 26 So they took the bull which was given them, and they prepared [it], and called on the name of Baal from morning even till noon, saying, “O Baal, hear us!” But [there was] no voice; no one answered. Then they leaped about the altar which they had made. 27 And so it was, at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, “Cry aloud, for he [is] a god; either he is meditating, or he is busy, or he is on a journey, [or] perhaps he is sleeping and must be awakened.” 28 So they cried aloud, and cut themselves, as was their custom, with knives and lances, until the blood gushed out on them. 29 And when midday was past, they prophesied until the [time] of the offering of the [evening] sacrifice. But [there was] no voice; no one answered, no one paid attention. 30 Then Elijah said to all the people, “Come near to me.” So all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of YAHUAH [that was] broken down. 31 And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of YAHUAH had come, saying, “Israel shall be your name.” 32 Then with the stones he built an altar in the name of YAHUAH; and he made a trench around the altar large enough to hold two seahs of seed. 33 And he put the wood in order, cut the bull in pieces, and laid [it] on the wood, and said, “Fill four waterpots with water, and pour [it] on the burnt sacrifice and on the wood.” 34 Then he said, “Do [it] a second time,” and they did [it] a second time; and he said, “Do [it] a third time,” and they did [it] a third time. 35 So the water ran all around the altar; and he also filled the trench with water. 36 And it came to pass, at [the time of] the offering of the [evening] sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “YAHUAH God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You [are] God in Israel and I [am] Your servant, and [that] I have done all these things at Your word. 37 “Hear me, O YAHUAH, hear me, that this people may know that You [are] YAHUAH God, and [that] You have turned their hearts back [to You] again.” 38 Then the fire of YAHUAH fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that [was] in the trench. 39 Now when all the people saw [it], they fell on their faces; and they said, “YAHUAH, He [is] God! YAHUAH, He [is] God!” 40 And Elijah said to them, “Seize the prophets of Baal! Do not let one of them escape!” So they seized them; and Elijah brought them down to the Brook Kishon and executed them there.

    1. [2Sa 23:8-17 NKJV] 8 These [are] the names of the mighty men whom David had: Josheb-Basshebeth the Tachmonite, chief among the captains. He was called Adino the Eznite, because he had killed eight hundred men at one time. 9 And after him [was] Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, [one] of the three mighty men with David when they defied the Philistines [who] were gathered there for battle, and the men of Israel had retreated. 10 He arose and attacked the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand stuck to the sword. YAHUAH brought about a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to plunder. 11 And after him [was] Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. The Philistines had gathered together into a troop where there was a piece of ground full of lentils. So the people fled from the Philistines. 12 But he stationed himself in the middle of the field, defended it, and killed the Philistines. So YAHUAH brought about a great victory. 13 Then three of the thirty chief men went down at harvest time and came to David at the cave of Adullam. And the troop of Philistines encamped in the Valley of Rephaim. 14 David [was] then in the stronghold, and the garrison of the Philistines [was] then [in] Bethlehem. 15 And David said with longing, “Oh, that someone would give me a drink of the water from the well of Bethlehem, which [is] by the gate!” 16 So the three mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines, drew water from the well of Bethlehem that [was] by the gate, and took it and brought [it] to David. Nevertheless he would not drink it, but poured it out to YAHUAH. 17 And he said, “Far be it from me, O YAHUAH, that I should do this! Is [this not] the blood of the men who went in [jeopardy of] their lives?” Therefore he would not drink it. These things were done by the three mighty men.

    2. [Rev 17:1-13 KJV] 1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: 2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. 3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5 And upon her forehead [was] a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Yahusha: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. 7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. 8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. 9 And here [is] the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. 10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, [and] the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. 11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. 12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

    3. [Jhn 6:44-58 KJV] 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. 45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. 46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. 47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. 48 I am that bread of life. 49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. 52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us [his] flesh to eat? 53 Then Yahusha said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. 58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
