Leviticus Chapter 20
Chapter 20

[Lev 20:1-27 NKJV] 1 Then YAHUAH spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Again, you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘Whoever of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell in Israel, who gives [any] of his descendants to Molech[h4432], he shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones. 3 ‘I will set My face against that man, and will cut him off from his people, because he has given of his descendants to Molech, to defile My sanctuary and profane My holy name. 4 ‘And if the people of the land should in any way hide their eyes from the man, when he gives of his descendants to Molech, and they do not kill him, 5 ‘then I will set My face against that man and against his family; and I will cut him off from his people, and all who prostitute themselves with him to commit harlotry with Molech. 6 ‘And the person who turns to mediums [H3 049] and familiar spirits [H178], to prostitute himself with them, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people. 7 ‘Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I [am] YAHUAH your God. 8 ‘And you shall keep My statutes, and perform them: I [am] YAHUAH who sanctifies you. 9 ‘For everyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death. He has cursed his father or his mother. His blood [shall be] upon him. 10 ‘The man who commits adultery with [another] man’s wife, [he] who commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress, shall surely be put to death. 11 ‘The man who lies with his father’s wife has uncovered his father’s nakedness; both of them shall surely be put to death. Their blood [shall be] upon them. 12 ‘If a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death. They have committed perversion. Their blood [shall be] upon them. 13 ‘If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood [shall be] upon them. 14 ‘If a man marries a woman and her mother, it [is] wickedness. They shall be burned with fire, both he and they, that there may be no wickedness among you. 15 ‘If a man mates with an animal, he shall surely be put to death, and you shall kill the animal. 16 ‘If a woman approaches any animal and mates with it, you shall kill the woman and the animal. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood [is] upon them. 17 ‘If a man takes his sister, his father’s daughter or his mother’s daughter, and sees her nakedness and she sees his nakedness, it [is] a wicked thing. And they shall be cut off in the sight of their people. He has uncovered his sister’s nakedness. He shall bear his guilt. 18 ‘If a man lies with a woman during her sickness and uncovers her nakedness, he has exposed her flow, and she has uncovered the flow of her blood. Both of them shall be cut off from their people. 19 ‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister nor of your father’s sister, for that would uncover his near of kin. They shall bear their guilt. 20 ‘If a man lies with his uncle’s wife, he has uncovered his uncle’s nakedness. They shall bear their sin; they shall die childless. 21 ‘If a man takes his brother’s wife, it [is] an unclean thing. He has uncovered his brother’s nakedness. They shall be childless. 22 ‘You shall therefore keep all My statutes and all My judgments, and perform them, that the land where I am bringing you to dwell may not vomit you out. 23 ‘And you shall not walk in the statutes of the nation which I am casting out before you; for they commit all these things, and therefore I abhor them. 24 ‘But I have said to you, “You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey.” I [am] YAHUAH your God, who has separated you from the peoples. 25 ‘You shall therefore distinguish between clean animals and unclean, between unclean birds and clean, and you shall not make yourselves abominable by beast or by bird, or by any kind of living thing that creeps on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean. 26 ‘And you shall be holy to Me, for I YAHUAH [am] holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine. 27 ‘A man or a woman who is a medium, or who has familiar spirits, shall surely be put to death; they shall stone them with stones. Their blood [shall be] upon them.’ ”

[Col 1:12-19 KJV] 12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated [us] into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, [even] the forgiveness of sins: 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all [things] he might have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased [the Father] that in him should all fulness dwell;
-
[Jhn 1:1-13 NKJV] 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name [was] John. 7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but [was sent] to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

[2Ki 21:1-6 NKJV] 1 Manasseh [was] twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name [was] Hephzibah. 2 And he did evil in the sight of YAHUAH, according to the abominations of the nations whom YAHUAH had cast out before the children of Israel. 3 For he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; he raised up altars for Baal, and made a wooden image, as Ahab king of Israel had done; and he worshiped all the host of heaven and served them. 4 He also built altars in the house of YAHUAH, of which YAHUAH had said, “In Jerusalem I will put My name.” 5 And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of YAHUAH. 6 Also he made his son pass through the fire, practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft, and consulted spiritists and mediums. He did much evil in the sight of YAHUAH, to provoke [Him] to anger.

[1Sa 28:6-21 NKJV] 6 And when Saul inquired of YAHUAH, YAHUAH did not answer him, either by dreams or by Urim or by the prophets. 7 Then Saul said to his servants, “Find me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her.” And his servants said to him, “In fact, [there is] a woman who is a medium at En Dor.” 8 So Saul disguised himself and put on other clothes, and he went, and two men with him; and they came to the woman by night. And he said, “Please conduct a seance for me, and bring up for me the one I shall name to you.” 9 Then the woman said to him, “Look, you know what Saul has done, how he has cut off the mediums and the spiritists from the land. Why then do you lay a snare for my life, to cause me to die?” 10 And Saul swore to her by YAHUAH, saying, “[As] YAHUAH lives, no punishment shall come upon you for this thing.” 11 Then the woman said, “Whom shall I bring up for you?” And he said, “Bring up Samuel for me.” 12 When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice. And the woman spoke to Saul, saying, “Why have you deceived me? For you [are] Saul!” 13 And the king said to her, “Do not be afraid. What did you see?” And the woman said to Saul, “I saw a spirit ascending out of the earth.” 14 So he said to her, “What [is] his form?” And she said, “An old man is coming up, and he [is] covered with a mantle.” And Saul perceived that it [was] Samuel, and he stooped with [his] face to the ground and bowed down. 15 Now Samuel said to Saul, “Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?” And Saul answered, “I am deeply distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God has departed from me and does not answer me anymore, neither by prophets nor by dreams. Therefore I have called you, that you may reveal to me what I should do.” 16 Then Samuel said: “So why do you ask me, seeing YAHUAH has departed from you and has become your enemy? 17 “And YAHUAH has done for Himself as He spoke by me. For YAHUAH has torn the kingdom out of your hand and given it to your neighbor, David. 18 “Because you did not obey the voice of YAHUAH nor execute His fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore YAHUAH has done this thing to you this day. 19 “Moreover YAHUAH will also deliver Israel with you into the hand of the Philistines. And tomorrow you and your sons [will be] with me. YAHUAH will also deliver the army of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.” 20 Immediately Saul fell full length on the ground, and was dreadfully afraid because of the words of Samuel. And there was no strength in him, for he had eaten no food all day or all night.

[Luk 16:22-26 NKJV] 22 “So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 “And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ 25 “But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. 26 ‘And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’
-
[1Ki 22:20-23 NKJV] 20 “And YAHUAH said, ‘Who will persuade Ahab to go up, that he may fall at Ramoth Gilead?’ So one spoke in this manner, and another spoke in that manner. 21 “Then a spirit came forward and stood before YAHUAH, and said, ‘I will persuade him.’ 22 “YAHUAH said to him, ‘In what way?’ So he said, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And YAHUAH said, ‘You shall persuade [him], and also prevail. Go out and do so.’ 23 “Therefore look! YAHUAH has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours, and YAHUAH has declared disaster against you.”
-
[Job 32:18-20 NKJV] 18 For I am full of words; The spirit within me compels me. 19 Indeed my belly [is] like wine [that] has no vent; It is ready to burst like new
wineskins**[h178]**spirits. 20 I will speak, that I may find relief; I must open my lips and answer. -
[Mat 9:16-17 KJV] 16 No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse. 17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.
-
[Isa 5:1-7 KJV] 1 Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill: 2 And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes. 3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard. 4 What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes? 5 And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; [and] break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down: 6 And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it. 7 For the vineyard of YAHUAH of hosts [is] the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.
-
[Isa 8:19-22 NKJV] 19 And when they say to you, “Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,” should not a people seek their God? [Should they seek] the dead on behalf of the living? 20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them. 21 They will pass through it hard-pressed and hungry; and it shall happen, when they are hungry, that they will be enraged and curse their king and their God, and look upward. 22 Then they will look to the earth, and see trouble and darkness, gloom of anguish; and [they will be] driven into darkness.
-
[Mat 11:12 NKJV] 12 “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.
-
[Mat 13:44 NKJV] 44 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
-
[Mat 13:31-32 NKJV] 31 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, 32 “which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”
-
[Mat 13:18-23 NKJV] 18 “Therefore hear the parable of the sower: 19 “When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand [it], then the wicked [one] comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside. 20 “But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21 “yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. 22 “Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. 23 “But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands [it], who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”
-
[Luk 17:20-21 NKJV] 20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 “nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”
-
[Gal 5:22-23 NKJV] 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
-
[Eph 4:17-32 KJV] 17 This I say therefore, and testify in YAHUAH, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, 18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: 19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20 But ye have not so learned Mashiach; 21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Yahusha: 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. 25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. 26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27 Neither give place to the devil. 28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with [his] hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. 29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Mashiach’s sake hath forgiven you.
-
[Rom 12:2 KJV] 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
-
[2Co 4:16 KJV] 16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward [man] is renewed day by day.
-
[Jer 31:31-34 KJV] 31 Behold, the days come, saith YAHUAH, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day [that] I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith YAHUAH: 33 But this [shall be] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith YAHUAH, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know YAHUAH: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith YAHUAH: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

[Isa 29:1-24 NKJV] 1 “Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city [where] David dwelt! Add year to year; Let feasts come around. 2 Yet I will distress Ariel; There shall be heaviness and sorrow, And it shall be to Me as Ariel. 3 I will encamp against you all around, I will lay siege against you with a mound, And I will raise siegeworks against you. 4 You shall be brought down, You shall speak out of the ground; Your speech shall be low, out of the dust; Your voice shall be like a medium’s, out of the ground; And your speech shall whisper out of the dust. 5 “Moreover the multitude of your foes Shall be like fine dust, And the multitude of the terrible ones Like chaff that passes away; Yes, it shall be in an instant, suddenly. 6 You will be punished by YAHUAH of hosts With thunder and earthquake and great noise, [With] storm and tempest And the flame of devouring fire. 7 The multitude of all the nations who fight against Ariel, Even all who fight against her and her fortress, And distress her, Shall be as a dream of a night vision. 8 It shall even be as when a hungry man dreams, And look—he eats; But he awakes, and his soul is still empty; Or as when a thirsty man dreams, And look—he drinks; But he awakes, and indeed [he is] faint, And his soul still craves: So the multitude of all the nations shall be, Who fight against Mount Zion.” 9 Pause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunk, but not with wine; They stagger, but not with intoxicating drink. 10 For YAHUAH has poured out on you The spirit of deep sleep, And has closed your eyes, namely, the prophets; And He has covered your heads, [namely], the seers. 11 The whole vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which [men] deliver to one who is literate, saying, “Read this, please.” And he says, “I cannot, for it [is] sealed.” 12 Then the book is delivered to one who is illiterate, saying, “Read this, please.” And he says, “I am not literate.” 13 Therefore YAHUAH said: “Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me, And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men, 14 Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work Among this people, A marvelous work and a wonder; For the wisdom of their wise [men] shall perish, And the understanding of their prudent [men] shall be hidden.” 15 Woe to those who seek deep to hide their counsel far from YAHUAH, And their works are in the dark; They say, “Who sees us?” and, “Who knows us?” 16 Surely you have things turned around! Shall the potter be esteemed as the clay; For shall the thing made say of him who made it, “He did not make me”? Or shall the thing formed say of him who formed it, “He has no understanding”? 17 [Is] it not yet a very little while Till Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, And the fruitful field be esteemed as a forest? 18 In that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, And the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness. 19 The humble also shall increase [their] joy in YAHUAH, And the poor among men shall rejoice In the Holy One of Israel. 20 For the terrible one is brought to nothing, The scornful one is consumed, And all who watch for iniquity are cut off— 21 Who make a man an offender by a word, And lay a snare for him who reproves in the gate, And turn aside the just by empty words. 22 Therefore thus says YAHUAH, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob: “Jacob shall not now be ashamed, Nor shall his face now grow pale; 23 But when he sees his children, The work of My hands, in his midst, They will hallow My name, And hallow the Holy One of Jacob, And fear the God of Israel. 24 These also who erred in spirit will come to understanding, And those who complained will learn doctrine.”

[Isa 19:1-25 NKJV] 1 The burden against Egypt. Behold, YAHUAH rides on a swift cloud, And will come into Egypt; The idols of Egypt will totter at His presence, And the heart of Egypt will melt in its midst. 2 “I will set Egyptians against Egyptians; Everyone will fight against his brother, And everyone against his neighbor, City against city, kingdom against kingdom. 3 The spirit of Egypt will fail in its midst; I will destroy their counsel, And they will consult the idols and the charmers, The mediums and the sorcerers. 4 And the Egyptians I will give Into the hand of a cruel master, And a fierce king will rule over them,” Says YAHUAH, YAHUAH of hosts. 5 The waters will fail from the sea, And the river will be wasted and dried up. 6 The rivers will turn foul; The brooks of defense will be emptied and dried up; The reeds and rushes will wither. 7 The papyrus reeds by the River, by the mouth of the River, And everything sown by the River, Will wither, be driven away, and be no more. 8 The fishermen also will mourn; All those will lament who cast hooks into the River, And they will languish who spread nets on the waters. 9 Moreover those who work in fine flax And those who weave fine fabric will be ashamed; 10 And its foundations will be broken. All who make wages [will be] troubled of soul. 11 Surely the princes of Zoan [are] fools; Pharaoh’s wise counselors give foolish counsel. How do you say to Pharaoh, “I [am] the son of the wise, The son of ancient kings?” 12 Where [are] they? Where are your wise men? Let them tell you now, And let them know what YAHUAH of hosts has purposed against Egypt. 13 The princes of Zoan have become fools; The princes of Noph are deceived; They have also deluded Egypt, [Those who are] the mainstay of its tribes. 14 YAHUAH has mingled a perverse spirit in her midst; And they have caused Egypt to err in all her work, As a drunken man staggers in his vomit. 15 Neither will there be [any] work for Egypt, Which the head or tail, Palm branch or bulrush, may do. 16 In that day Egypt will be like women, and will be afraid and fear because of the waving of the hand of YAHUAH of hosts, which He waves over it. 17 And the land of Judah will be a terror to Egypt; everyone who makes mention of it will be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of YAHUAH of hosts which He has determined against it. 18 In that day five cities in the land of Egypt will speak the language of Canaan and swear by YAHUAH of hosts; one will be called the City of Destruction. 19 In that day there will be an altar to YAHUAH in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to YAHUAH at its border. 20 And it will be for a sign and for a witness to YAHUAH of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to YAHUAH because of the oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a Mighty One, and He will deliver them. 21 Then YAHUAH will be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know YAHUAH in that day, and will make sacrifice and offering; yes, they will make a vow to YAHUAH and perform [it]. 22 And YAHUAH will strike Egypt, He will strike and heal [it]; they will return to YAHUAH, and He will be entreated by them and heal them. 23 In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians. 24 In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria—a blessing in the midst of the land, 25 whom YAHUAH of hosts shall bless, saying, “Blessed [is] Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.”
-
[Isa 8:11-22 NKJV] 11 For YAHUAH spoke thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying: 12 “Do not say, ‘A conspiracy,’ Concerning all that this people call a conspiracy, Nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled. 13 YAHUAH of hosts, Him you shall hallow; [Let] Him [be] your fear, And [let] Him [be] your dread. 14 He will be as a sanctuary, But a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense To both the houses of Israel, As a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 15 And many among them shall stumble; They shall fall and be broken, Be snared and taken.” 16 Bind up the testimony, Seal the law among my disciples. 17 And I will wait on YAHUAH, Who hides His face from the house of Jacob; And I will hope in Him. 18 Here am I and the children whom YAHUAH has given me! [We] are for signs and wonders in Israel From YAHUAH of hosts, Who dwells in Mount Zion. 19 And when they say to you, “Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,” should not a people seek their God? [Should they seek] the dead on behalf of the living? 20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them. 21 They will pass through it hard-pressed and hungry; and it shall happen, when they are hungry, that they will be enraged and curse their king and their God, and look upward. 22 Then they will look to the earth, and see trouble and darkness, gloom of anguish; and [they will be] driven into darkness.
-
[Isa 9:11-21 NKJV] 11 Therefore YAHUAH shall set up The adversaries of Rezin against him, And spur his enemies on, 12 The Syrians before and the Philistines behind; And they shall devour Israel with an open mouth. For all this His anger is not turned away, But His hand [is] stretched out still. 13 For the people do not turn to Him who strikes them, Nor do they seek YAHUAH of hosts. 14 Therefore YAHUAH will cut off head and tail from Israel, Palm branch and bulrush in one day. 15 The elder and honorable, he [is] the head; The prophet who teaches lies, he [is] the tail. 16 For the leaders of this people cause [them] to err, And [those who are] led by them are destroyed. 17 Therefore YAHUAH will have no joy in their young men, Nor have mercy on their fatherless and widows; For everyone [is] a hypocrite and an evildoer, And every mouth speaks folly. For all this His anger is not turned away, But His hand [is] stretched out still. 18 For wickedness burns as the fire; It shall devour the briers and thorns, And kindle in the thickets of the forest; They shall mount up [like] rising smoke. 19 Through the wrath of YAHUAH of hosts The land is burned up, And the people shall be as fuel for the fire; No man shall spare his brother. 20 And he shall snatch on the right hand And be hungry; He shall devour on the left hand And not be satisfied; Every man shall eat the flesh of his own arm. 21 Manasseh [shall devour] Ephraim, and Ephraim Manasseh; Together they [shall be] against Judah. For all this His anger is not turned away, But His hand [is] stretched out still.
