[Genesis 20:1-18 KJV*]
- 1 And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.
- 2 And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She [is] my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.
- 3 But Alahym came to Abimelech[gd][h40] in a dream[h2472] [h3915]of the night, and said to him, Behold, you [h4191]will die over the woman which you took for she [is] [h1166]lady [h1167]of a lord.
- 4 But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, [h136]Adonay, will you also slay the righteous nation?
- 5 Said he not unto me, She [is] my sister? And she also herself said, He [is] my brother. In the integrity[h8537] of my heart and [h5356]cleanness of my hands have I done a cut from {Zayin/}Aleph/Tav.
- 6 And the Alahym said unto him in a dream, I also know that you did a cut from {Zayin/}Aleph/Tav in the integrity of your heart; for I also withheld[h2820] Aleph/Vav/Tav you from sinning[h2398] against me: therefore I did not [h5414]give you to touch her.
- 7 Now [h7725]return the man’s wife; for he [is] a prophet[h5030], and he shall pray[h6419] [h1157]over you, and you shall live: and if you return not, know that [תּמוּת][h4191]you shall die [מות][h4191]to die, Aleph/Tav you, and all that [are] yours.
- 8 Therefore Abimelech rose early[h7925] in the morning, and called for all his servants, and spoke Aleph/Tav–all–these words[h1697] in their ears[h241]: and the men were exceedingly afraid[h3372].
- 9 Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What have you done unto us? and what [h2398]have I sinned against you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin[h2401]? you have done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.
- 10 And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What did you see, that you have done Aleph/Tav–this thing[h1697]?
- 11 And Abraham said, Because I said, Surely there is no fear[h3374] of Alahym in this place; and they will slay me for [h1697]word of my wife.
- 12 And yet indeed [she is] my sister; she [is] the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.
- 13 And it came to pass, when Alahym caused Aleph/Tav me to wander[h8582] from my father's house, that I said unto her, This [is] [h2617]your mercy which you will do by me; at all the place whither we shall come, there say of me, He [is] my brother.
- 14 And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave unto Abraham, and Aleph/Tav returned to him Sarah his wife.
- 15 And Abimelech said, Behold, my land before you: dwell [where is] good in your sight.
- 16 And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given your brother a thousand silver: behold, he [is] your covering[h3682] of the eyes, unto all that [are] with Aleph/Tav you, extending to Aleph/Tav all. And she was reproved[h3198].
- 17 So Abraham prayed unto the Alahym: and Alahym healed[h7495] Aleph/Tav–Abimelech, and Aleph/Tav–his wife, and his maidservants; [h3205]and they gave birth.
- 18 For YAHUAH had [h6113]completely [h6113]shut over every womb[h7358] for the house of Abimelech, for the matter of Sarah Abraham's wife.
Discussion
Cut from {Zayin/}Aleph/Tav
- [Gen 2:21-23] 21 And YAHUAH Alahym caused a deep sleep to fall upon the Adam, and he slept: and he took one [h6763]of his sides, and closed up the flesh [h8478]underneath; 22 And YAHUAH Alahym built Aleph/Tav–[h6763]the side, which taken from the Adam, into woman[h802], and brought her unto the Adam. 23 And the Adam said, [h6471]the beat [h2063]cut from {Zayin/}Aleph/Tav, bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: [h2063]to cut from {Lamed/Zayin/}Aleph/Tav shall be called Woman[h802][אשּׁה], because [h2063]a cut from {Zayin/}Aleph/Tav was taken from man[h376][מאישׁ].
- [Genesis 3:12-14] 12 And the Adam said, "The woman whom you gave with me, she gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate." 13 Then YAHUAH Alahym said what cut from {Zayin/}Aleph/Tav have you [h6213]made?" And the woman said, "The serpent[h5175] deceived[h5377] me, and I ate." 14 And YAHUAH Alahym said to the serpent, "Because you have [h6213]made a cut from {Zayin/}Aleph/Tav, cursed are you of all [h929]the animal[s] and of any creature of the field; on your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life.
Prophets and Dreams
- [Numbers 12:6 KJV] 6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, [I] YAHUAH will make myself known unto him in a vision, [and] will speak unto him in a dream.
- [Deuteronomy 13:1-11 KJV] 1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, 2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for YAHUAH your God proveth you, to know whether ye love YAHUAH your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 Ye shall walk after YAHUAH your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. 5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn away from YAHUAH your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which YAHUAH thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee. 6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which [is] as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; 7 [Namely], of the gods of the people which [are] round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the end of the earth even unto the end of the earth; 8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: 9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. 10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from YAHUAH thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. 11 And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among you.
- [Isaiah 30:1-3 KJV] 1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith YAHUAH, that take counsel, but not of me; [h5258]and that pour out [h4541]a molten image, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: 2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! 3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt confusion.
- [Exodus 20:20 KJV] 20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear[h3374] may be before your faces, that ye sin not.
- [2 Samuel 23:3-4 KJV] 3 The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over Adam righteous, ruling in the fear[h3374] of God. 4 And as the light of the morning, the sun riseth, a morning without clouds; the tender grass out of the earth by clear shining after rain[ge].

- [Mark 4:35-41 KJV] 35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. 36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. 37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. 38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? 39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?[gi]

- [Proverbs 2:1-5 KJV] 1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; 2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, [and] apply thine heart to understanding; 3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, [and] liftest up thy voice for understanding; 4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as [for] hid treasures; 5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of YAHUAH, and find the knowledge of God.

- [Jeremiah 32:36-44 KJV] 36 And now therefore thus saith YAHUAH, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence; 37 Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely: 38 And they shall be my people, and I will be their God: 39 And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them: 40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me[gl]. 41 Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul. 42 For thus saith YAHUAH; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them. 43 And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof ye say, [It is] desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans. 44 Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal [them], and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith YAHUAH.
- [1 Corinthians 11:3-15 KJV] 3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Messiah; and the head of the woman [is] the man; and the head of Messiah [is] God. 4 Every man praying or prophesying, having [his] head covered, dishonoureth his head. 5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with [her] head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. 6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. 7 For a man indeed ought not to cover [his] head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. 8 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. 9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. 10 For this cause ought the woman to have [g1849]authority on [her] head because of the angels. 11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in YAHUAH. 12 For as the woman [is] of the man, even so [is] the man also by the woman; but all things of God. 13 Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered? 14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? 15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for [her] hair is given her for a covering.
- [Jude 1:6-7 KJV] 6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
- [Genesis 6:1-5] 1 And it came to pass, when the [h2490]defiled Adam multiplied[h7231] on the face of [h127]the ground, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of Alahym saw[h7200] the daughters of the Adam [h3588]as [h2896]good; and they took to them wives of all which they chose. 3 And YAHUAH said, My spirit shall not [h1777]judge on Adam [h5769]to eternity, for that he also [is] flesh[h1320]: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4 [h5303]The Nephilim were on the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of Alahym came in unto the daughters of the Adam, and they bare to them, these, [h1368]the mighty ones which of eternity, men[h376]][אנשׁי] of the name. 5 And YAHUAH saw that great evil of the Adam in the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart only evil all of the day.
- [Numbers 4:5, 8-9, 11-12, 15 KJV] 5 And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering vail, and cover[h3680] the ark of testimony with it: ... 8 And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover[h3680] the same with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put in the staves thereof. 9 And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover[h3680] the candlestick of the light, and his lamps, and his tongs, and his snuffdishes, and all the oil vessels thereof, wherewith they minister unto it: ... 11 And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover[h3680] it with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put to the staves thereof: 12 And they shall take all the instruments of ministry, wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, and put [them] in a cloth of blue, and cover[h3680] them with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put [them] on a bar: ... 15 And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering[h3680] the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear [it]: but they shall not touch [any] holy thing, lest they die. These [things are] the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.
- [Numbers 9:15 KJV] 15 And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered[h3680] the tabernacle, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.
- [Job 26:6 KJV] 6 Hell [is] naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.[h3682]
- [Isaiah 30:22 KJV] 22 Ye shall defile also the covering[h6826] of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence.

- [Genesis 16:2 KJV] 2 And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, YAHUAH hath restrained me[h6113] from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.
- [Numbers 16:47-50 KJV] 47 And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people. 48 And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed[h6113]. 49 Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah. 50 And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed[h6113].
- [Numbers 25:1-9 KJV] 1 And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab. 2 And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods. 3 And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of YAHUAH was kindled against Israel. 4 And YAHUAH said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before YAHUAH against the sun, that the fierce anger of YAHUAH may be turned away from Israel. 5 And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor. 6 And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who [were] weeping [before] the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. 7 And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw [it], he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand; 8 And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed[h6113] from the children of Israel. 9 And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.
- [Deuteronomy 11:13-21 KJV] 13 And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love YAHUAH your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14 That I will give [you] the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil. 15 And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full. 16 Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; 17 And [then] YAHUAH'S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up[h6113] the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and [lest] ye perish quickly from off the good land which YAHUAH giveth you. 18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes[gm]. 19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 20 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:[gn] 21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which YAHUAH sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
- [1 Kings 8:35-40 KJV] 35 When heaven is shut up[h6113], and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them: 36 Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, that thou teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance. 37 If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, [or] if there be caterpiller; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness [there be]; 38 What prayer and supplication soever be [made] by any man, [or] by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house: 39 Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, [even] thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;) 40 That they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.
- [Isaiah 54:1-17 KJV] 1 Sing, O barren, thou [that] didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou [that] didst not travail with child: for more [are] the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith YAHUAH. 2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; 3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. 4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. 5 For thy Maker [is] thine husband; YAHUAH of hosts [is] his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. 6 For YAHUAH hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God. 7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. 8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith YAHUAH thy Redeemer. 9 For this [is as] the waters of Noah unto me: for [as] I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. 10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith YAHUAH that hath mercy on thee. 11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, [and] not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. 12 And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. 13 And all thy children [shall be] taught of YAHUAH; and great [shall be] the peace of thy children. 14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. 15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, [but] not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. 16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. 17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This [is] the heritage of the servants of YAHUAH, and their righteousness [is] of me, saith YAHUAH.
