  1. [Genesis 22:1-24 KJV*]

  1. 1 And it came to pass after these things, that Alahym [h5254]tested Aleph/Tav–Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold me.
  2. 2 And he said, Take now Aleph/Tav–your son, Aleph/Tav–your only, whom you love, Aleph/Tav–Isaac, and go into the land of Moriah; and offer[h5927] him there for a burnt offering[h5930] upon one of the mountains which I will tell you of.
  3. 3 And Abraham rose up early[h7925] in the morning, and saddled Aleph/Tav–[h2543]his donkey, and took Aleph/Tav–two of his young men with Aleph/Tav{/Vav} him, and Isaac his son, and cleaved burnt offering[h5930] wood[h6086], and rose up, and went unto the place of which the Alahym had told him.
  4. 4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up Aleph/Tav–his eyes, and saw Aleph/Tav–the place [h7350]from afar.
  5. 5 And Abraham said unto his young men[h5288], Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad[h5288] will go yonder and worship[h7812], [h7725]and return to you.
  6. 6 And Abraham took Aleph/Tav–wood of the burnt offering[h5930], and laid[h7760] upon Isaac his son; and he took Aleph/Tav–the fire in his hand, and Aleph/Tav–the knife[h3979]; and they went both of them together.
  7. 7 And Isaac spoke unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Behold me, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where [is] the lamb[h7716] for a burnt offering[h5930]?
  8. 8 And Abraham said, Alahym [h7200]will see for himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son. So they went both of them together.
  9. 9 And they came to the place which the Alahym had told him of; and Abraham built[h1129] Aleph/Tav–the altar[h4196] there, [h6186]and arranged Aleph/Tav–the wood, and bound Aleph/Tav–Isaac his son, and laid Aleph/Tav{/Vav} him on the altar[h4196] [h4605]from above [h6086]to the wood.
  10. 10 And Abraham stretched forth Aleph/Tav–his hand, and took Aleph/Tav–the knife[h3979] to slay[h7819] Aleph/Tav–his son.
  11. 11 And an angel of YAHUAH called unto him out of the heavens, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Behold me.
  12. 12 And he said, Lay[h7971] not your hand upon the lad, neither do any thing to him: for now I know[h3045] that Aleph/Tav{/Hey} you fear[h3373] Alahym, seeing you have not [h2820]spared Aleph/Tav–your son, your only[h3173] from me.
  13. 13 And Abraham lifted up Aleph/Tav–his eyes, and looked, and behold behind [him] a ram[h352] [h270]held in a thicket[h5442] by his horns[h7161]: and Abraham went and took Aleph/Tav–the ram, and offered[h5927] him up for a burnt offering[h5930] in the stead[h8478] of his son.
  14. 14 And Abraham called the name of that place [h3068]YAHUAH [יראה][h7200]Sees: as it is said [to] this day, In the mount of YAHUAH it shall be seen[h7200].
  15. 15 And an angel of YAHUAH called unto Abraham out of the heavens the second time,
  16. 16 And said, By myself have I sworn[h7650], says YAHUAH, for because thou have done Aleph/Tav–this thing, and have not [h2820]spared Aleph/Tav–your son, Aleph/Tav–your only:
  17. 17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply Aleph/Tav–your seed as the stars[h3556] of the heavens, and as the sand which [is] upon the sea shore; and your seed shall possess[h3423] the gate of his enemies[h341];
  18. 18 And in your seed shall all the nations[h1471] of the earth be blessed; because [h8085]you have heard on my voice[h6963].
  19. 19 So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba[h884]; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.
  20. 20 And it came to pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah, she has also born children unto your brother Nahor;
  21. 21 Aleph/Tav–Huz his firstborn, and Aleph/Tav–Buz his brother, and Aleph/Tav–Kemuel the father of Aram,
  22. 22 And Aleph/Tav–Chesed, and Aleph/Tav–Hazo, and Aleph/Tav–Pildash, and Aleph/Tav–Jidlaph, and Aleph/Tav–Bethuel.
  23. 23 And Bethuel begat Aleph/Tav–Rebekah: these eight Milcah did bear to Nahor, Abraham's brother.
  24. 24 And his concubine, whose name [was] Reumah, she bare also Aleph/Tav–Tebah, and Aleph/Tav–Gaham, and Aleph/Tav–Thahash, and Aleph/Tav–Maachah.
