  1. [Genesis 21:1-34 KJV]

  1. 1 And YAHUAH [h6485]attended to Aleph/Tav–Sarah as he had said, and YAHUAH did unto Sarah as he had spoken.
  2. 2 For Sarah conceived, and bare to Abraham a son in his old age[h2208], [h4150]at the appointed time of which Alahym had spoken to Aleph/Tav{/Vav} him.
  3. 3 And Abraham called Aleph/Tav–the name–of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac[h3327][יצחק].
  4. 4 And Abraham circumcised[h4135] his son Isaac being eight days old, as Alahym had commanded him.
  5. 5 And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him of Aleph/Tav.
  6. 6 And Sarah said, God has made [h6712]laughter for me, [כּל־השּׁמע]all those hearing [יצחק־לי]Isaac is mine.
  7. 7 And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have [h3243]nursed children? for I have born a son in his old age.
  8. 8 And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the day that Aleph/Tav–Isaac was weaned.
  9. 9 And Sarah saw Aleph/Tav–the son–of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, [מצחק][h6711]laughing intensely.
  10. 10 And she said unto Abraham, [h1644]drive out [h519]the handmaid cut from {Zayin/}Aleph/Tav and Aleph/Tav–her son: for the son of [h519]the handmaid cut from {Zayin/}Aleph/Tav shall not [h3423]inherit with my son, with Isaac.
  11. 11 And the thing was very [h7489]evil in Abraham's sight [h5921]on account of [h182]circumstance of his son.
  12. 12 And Alahym said unto Abraham, Let it not [h7489]be evil in your sight [h5921]on account of the lad[h5288], [h5921]and on account of [h519]your handmaid; all that Sarah has said to you, [h8085]listen to her voice; for in Isaac shall your seed be called.
  13. 13 And also [h7760]I will place him, Aleph/Tav–son–of the handmaid, [h1471]for a nation, because he [is] your seed[h2233].
  14. 14 And Abraham rose up early[h7925] in the morning[h1242], and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave [it] unto Hagar, [h7760]placing on her shoulder[h7926], and Aleph/Tav–the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba[go].
  15. 15 And the water in the bottle [h3615]was consumed, and she cast Aleph/Tav–the child under one of the shrubs.
  16. 16 And she went, and sat herself down [h5048]opposite from a good way off, as it were a bowshot[h2909][h7198]: for she said, Let me not [h7200]look [h4194]on the death of the child. And she sat [h5048]opposite from [him], and lift up her voice, and wept[h1058].
  17. 17 And Alahym heard[h8085] Aleph/Tav–voice of the lad; and the angel of Alahym called to Hagar from the heavens, and said unto her, [מה־לּך]What’s wrong with you, Hagar? fear not; for Alahym has heard the voice of the lad by where he [is] there.
  18. 18 Arise, lift up Aleph/Tav–the lad, [h2388]and strengthen Aleph/Tav–your hand on him, because [h7760]I will place him for a great nation.
  19. 19 And Alahym opened[h6491] Aleph/Tav–her eyes, and she saw a well[h875] of water; and she went, and filled[h4390] Aleph/Tav–the bottle[h2573] with water, [h8248]and she caused Aleph/Tav–the lad to drink.
  20. 20 And Alahym was with Aleph/Tav–the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and he became a bow[h7199] [h7235]increasing[gp].
  21. 21 And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran[gq]: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt[h4714].
  22. 22 And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol[gr] the chief captain of his host spake unto Abraham, saying, Alahym [is] with you in all that Aleph/Tav{/Hey} you do:
  23. 23 Now therefore swear[h7650] unto me here by Alahym that you will not [h8266]lie to me, nor to my son, nor to my son's son.  Like the kindness[h2617] that I have done unto you, you shall do unto me, and to the land wherein you have sojourned[h1481] in her.
  24. 24 And Abraham said, I will swear[h7650].
  25. 25 And Abraham reproved[h3198] Aleph/Tav–Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech's servants had [h1497]plundered.
  26. 26 And Abimelech said, I know not who has done Aleph/Tav–this thing: neither did Aleph/Tav{/Hey} you tell me, neither yet heard I but today.
  27. 27 And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech; and the two of them [h3772]cut a covenant[h1285].
  28. 28 And Abraham set[h5324] Aleph/Tav–seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves[h905].
  29. 29 And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What these seven ewe lambs which you have set by themselves?
  30. 30 And he said, For Aleph/Tav–seven ewe lambs you shall take from my hand in order that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged[h2658] Aleph/Tav–this well cut from {Zayin/}Aleph/Tav.
  31. 31 Therefore he called that place Beersheba[gs][h884]; because both of them swore there.
  32. [h3772]And they cut a covenant in Beersheba: then Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the chief captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Philistines[h6430].
  33. 33 And he planted[h5193] [h815]a tamarisk tree in Beersheba, and there he called on the name YAHUAH, [h410]Al everlasting[h5769].
  34. 34 And Abraham sojourned in the Philistines' land many days.

Discussion

  1. Laughter

  1. [Genesis 17:17 KJV] 17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed,[H6711] and said in his heart, Shall [a child] be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
  2. [Genesis 18:12-13, 15 KJV] 12 Therefore[H6711] Sarah laughed[H6711] within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also? 13 And YAHUAH said unto Abraham, Wherefore did[H6711] Sarah laugh,[H6711] saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? ... 15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed[H6711] not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.[H6711]
  3. [Genesis 19:14 KJV] 14 And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for YAHUAH will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked[H6711] unto his sons in law.
  1. Drive Out the Handmaid

  1. [Galatians 4:21-31 KJV] 21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? 22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. 23 But he [who was] of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman [was] by promise. 24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. 25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. 26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. 27 For it is written, Rejoice, [thou] barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband. 28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. 29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him [that was born] after the Spirit, even so [it is] now. 30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. 31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.
  2. [Galatians 5:1-26 KJV] 1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. 2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. 3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. 6 For in Yahusha Messiah neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. 7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? 8 This persuasion [cometh] not of him that calleth you. 9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. 10 I have confidence in you through YAHUAH, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be. 11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased. 12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you. 13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only [use] not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, [even] in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. 16 [This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Messiah’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
  3. [Acts 7:35-43 KJV] 35 This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send [to be] a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush. 36 He brought them out, after that he had shewed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years. 37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear. 38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and [with] our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us: 39 To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust [him] from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt, 40 Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for [as for] this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him. 41 And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands. 42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices [by the space of] forty years in the wilderness? 43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.
  1. Eyes Opened

  1. [Genesis 3:5, 7 KJV] 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then[H6491] your eyes[H5869] shall be opened,[H6491] and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. ... 7 And[H6491] the eyes[H5869] of them both were opened,[H6491] and they knew that they [were] naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
  2. [Proverbs 20:12-13 KJV] 12 The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, YAHUAH hath made even both of them. 13 Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, [and] thou shalt be satisfied with bread.
  3. [Isaiah 35:1-10 KJV] 1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. 2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of YAHUAH, [and] the excellency of our God. 3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. 4 Say to them [that are] of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come [with] vengeance, [even] God [with] a recompence; he will come and save you. 5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. 6 Then shall the lame [man] leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. 7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, [shall be] grass with reeds and rushes. 8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it [shall be] for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err [therein]. 9 No lion shall be there, nor [any] ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk [there]: 10 And the ransomed of YAHUAH shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
  4. [Isaiah 41:15-20 KJV*] 15 Behold, [h7760]I will set you for a threshing instrument[h4173] of [h2742]gold, a new[h2319] [בּעל][h1167]lord [פּיפיּות][h6374]of mouths. You shall thresh[h1758] the mountains and pulverize, [h7760]and you shall set the hills as chaff. 16 [h2219]You shall winnow them, [h7307]and a spirit shall carry them away, [h5591]and a vortex shall scatter[h6327] Aleph/Vav/Tav them, and Aleph/Tav you shall rejoice in YAHUAH, you shall praise on the Holy One of Israel. 17 The poor and the needy seek water, [h369]and have none. Their tongue fails with thirst. I YAHUAH [h6030]will answer them. Alahy of Israel will not forsake them. 18 I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of valleys. [h7760]I will set a wilderness to a pool of water, and a dry land to springs of water. 19 I will give in the wilderness cedar, shittim, and myrtle, and an oil tree. I will set in the desert a fir tree, pine, and box tree together: 20 For the purpose that they see, and know, [h7760]and set, and understand together, that YAHUAH’s hand has made a cut from {Zayin/}Aleph/Tav, and the Holy One of Israel has created her.
  5. [2 Kings 6:15-18 KJV] 15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? 16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that [be] with us [are] more than they that [be] with them. 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, YAHUAH, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And YAHUAH opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain [was] full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. 18 And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto YAHUAH, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.
  1. Well of (Living) Water

  1. [Genesis 21:15-20] 15 And the water in the bottle [h3615]was consumed, and she cast Aleph/Tav–the child under one of the shrubs. 18 Arise, lift up Aleph/Tav–the lad, [h2388]and strengthen Aleph/Tav–your hand on him, because [h7760]I will place him for a great nation. 20 And Alahym was with Aleph/Tav–the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and he became a bow[h7199] [h7235]increasing[gt].
  2. [Genesis 26:12-17 KJV] 12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and YAHUAH blessed him. 13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: 14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him. 15 For all the wells which his father's servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth. 16 And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we. 17 And Isaac departed thence, and pitched his tent in the valley of Gerar, and dwelt there.
  3. [Genesis 26:18-25 KJV] 18 And Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them. 19 And Isaac's servants digged in the valley, and found there a well of living water. 20 And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac's herdmen, saying, The water [is] ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him. 21 And they digged another well, and strove for that also: and he called the name of it Sitnah. 22 And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now YAHUAH hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land. 23 And he went up from thence to Beersheba. 24 And YAHUAH appeared unto him the same night, and said, I [am] the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I [am] with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake. 25 And he builded an altar there, and called upon the name of YAHUAH, and pitched his tent there: and there Isaac's servants digged a well.
  4. [Leviticus 14:5-6, 50-52 KJV] 5 And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over living[H2416] water:[H4325] 6 As for the living[H2416] bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living[H2416] bird in the blood of the bird killed over the[H4325] living[H2416] water:[H4325] ...
  5. 50 And he shall kill the one of the birds in an earthen vessel over living[H2416] water:[H4325] 51 And he shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living[H2416] bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the[H4325] living[H2416] water,[H4325] and sprinkle the house seven times: 52 And he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the[H4325] living[H2416] water,[H4325] and with the living[H2416] bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet:
  6. [Leviticus 15:13 KJV] 13 And when he that hath an issue is cleansed of his issue; then he shall number to himself seven days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in[H4325] living[H2416] water,[H4325] and shall be clean.
  7. [Numbers 19:14-22 KJV] 14 This [is] the law, when a man dieth in a tent: all that come into the tent, and all that [is] in the tent, shall be unclean seven days. 15 And every open vessel, which hath no covering bound upon it, [is] unclean. 16 And whosoever toucheth one that is slain with a sword in the open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days. 17 And for an unclean [person] they shall take of the ashes of the burnt heifer of purification for sin, and living water shall be put thereto in a vessel: 18 And a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip [it] in the water, and sprinkle [it] upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a grave: 19 And the clean [person] shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall purify himself, and wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even. 20 But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of YAHUAH: the water of separation hath not been sprinkled upon him; he [is] unclean. 21 And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them, that he that sprinkleth the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that toucheth the water of separation shall be unclean until even. 22 And whatsoever the unclean [person] toucheth shall be unclean; and the soul that toucheth [it] shall be unclean until even.
  8. [Song of Songs 4:11-16 KJV] 11 Thy lips, O [my] spouse, drop [as] the honeycomb: honey and milk [are] under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garments [is] like the smell of Lebanon. 12 A garden inclosed [is] my sister, [my] spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed. 13 Thy plants [are] an orchard of pomegranates, with pleasant fruits; camphire, with spikenard, 14 Spikenard and saffron; calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense; myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices: 15 A fountain of gardens, a well of living waters, and streams from Lebanon. 16 Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, [that] the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.
  9. [Jeremiah 2:13 KJV] 13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, [and] hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
  10. [Jeremiah 17:12-14 KJV] 12 A glorious high throne from the beginning [is] the place of our sanctuary. 13 O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, [and] they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken YAHUAH, the fountain of living waters. 14 Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou [art] my praise.
  11. [Zechariah 14:8-9 KJV] 8 And it shall be in that day, [that] living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. 9 And YAHUAH shall be for a king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one YAHUAH, and his name one.
  12. [John 4:10-14 KJV] 10 Yahusha answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. 11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? 12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? 13 Yahusha answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
  13. [John 7:37-38 KJV] 37 In the last day, that great [day] of the feast, Yahusha stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
  14. [Revelation 7:9-17 KJV] 9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and [about] the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, [be] unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. 13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
