  1. [Genesis 25:1-34 KJV*]

  1. 1 Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name Keturah[iw].
  2. 2 And she bare him Aleph/Tav–Zimran, and Aleph/Tav–Jokshan, and Aleph/Tav–Medan, and Aleph/Tav–Midian, and Aleph/Tav–Ishbak, and Aleph/Tav–Shuah.
  3. 3 And Jokshan begat Aleph/Tav–Sheba, and Aleph/Tav–Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.
  4. 4 And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these [were] the children of Keturah.
  5. 5 And Abraham gave Aleph/Tav–all that was his unto Isaac.
  6. 6 But unto the sons of the concubines[h6370], which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts[h4979], and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward[h6924], unto the east[h6924] country.
  7. 7 And these [are] the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived, an hundred years, sixty years, and fifteen years.
  8. 8 Then Abraham [h1478]expired and died[h4191] in a good old age, an elder, and [h7649]satisfied; and was gathered to his people.
  9. 9 And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried Aleph/Tav{/Vav} him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which before Mamre;
  10. 10 The field which Abraham purchased[h7069] flowing from {Mem/}Aleph/Tav sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.
  11. 11 And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Aleph/Tav–Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahairoi[ix].
  12. 12 Now these [are] the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's handmaid, bare unto Abraham:
  13. 13 And these [are] the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
  14. 14 And Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,
  15. 15 Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:
  16. 16 These [are] the sons of Ishmael, and these [are] their names, by their towns[h2691], and [h2918]by their encampments; twelve princes according to their nations.
  17. 17 And these [are] the years of the life of Ishmael, an hundred years and thirty years and seven years: [h1478]and he expired and died; and was gathered unto his people.
  18. 18 And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that [is] before Egypt, as you go toward Assyria: [and] [h5307]he fell in the presence of all his brethren.
  19. 19 And these [are] the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham begat Aleph/Tav–Isaac:
  20. 20 And Isaac was forty years old when he took Aleph/Tav–Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram[iy], the sister to Laban the Syrian.
  21.  21 And Isaac intreated YAHUAH [h5227]on behalf of his wife, because she [was] barren[h6135]: and YAHUAH was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
  22. 22 And the children pressed together within her; and she said, If [it be] so, why [am] I thus? And she went to enquire of Aleph/Tav–YAHUAH.
  23. 23 And YAHUAH said unto her, Two nations[h1471] in your womb[h990], and two peoples shall be separated from your belly; and [the one] people shall be stronger than [the other] people; and elder shall serve younger.
  24. 24 And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, twins in her womb.
  25. 25 And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment[h155]; and they called his name Esau[iz].
  26. 26 And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac sixty years old when she bare Aleph/Tav{/Mem} them.
  27. 27 And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning man, a hunter[h6718], a man of the field; and Jacob [h8535]a complete man, dwelling in tents.
  28. 28 And Isaac loved Aleph/Tav–Esau, because of venison[h6718] in his mouth: but Rebekah loved Aleph/Tav–Jacob.
  29. 29 And Jacob boiled [h5138]stew: and Esau came from the field, and he [was] faint:
  30. 30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red[h122] red[h122]; for I [am] faint: therefore was his name called Edom.
  31. 31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day your birthright[h1062].
  32. 32 And Esau said, Behold, I [am] at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?
  33. 33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.
  34. 34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised Aleph/Tav–the birthright.
