Discussion
Prosperity
- [Gen 39:2-6] 2 And YAHUAH was [with] Aleph/Tav–Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3 And his master saw that YAHUAH [was with] Aleph/Tav{/Vav} him, and that YAHUAH made all that he did to prosper in his hand. 4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he [h8334]ministered to Aleph/Tav{/Vav} him: [h6485]and he appointed him over his house, and all he had he put into his hand. 5 And it came to pass from the time he appointed him in his house, and over all that he had, that YAHUAH blessed Aleph/Tav–house of the Egyptian because of Joseph; and the blessing of YAHUAH was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field. 6 And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not anything of Aleph/Tav{/Vav} him except for the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was fair of form and fair of appearance.
- [Gen 39:20-23] 20 And Joseph's master took Aleph/Tav{/Vav} him, and delivered him into the prison house, a place where the king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison house. 21 But YAHUAH was [with] Aleph/Tav–Joseph, and stretched out mercy toward him, and gave him grace in the sight of the captain of the prison house. 22 And the prison house captain gave to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that in the prison house extending to {/Vav}Aleph/Tav all that they did there; he was the doer. 23 And the prison house captain looked not to Aleph/Tav–all–any thing in his hand; because YAHUAH [was with] Aleph/Tav{/Vav} him, and which he did, YAHUAH made to prosper.
Lost/Left Garment
- [Gen 37:23-25] 23 And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brothers, that they stripped Aleph/Tav–Joseph of Aleph/Tav–his coat, Aleph/Tav–coat of the stripes that on him; 24 And they took him, and cast Aleph/Tav{/Vav} him [into] the pit: and the pit empty, no water in him. 25 And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company[h736] of Ishmeelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spices[h5219] and balm[h6875] and myrrh[h3910], going to carry down to Egypt.
- [Gen 37:31-34] 31 And they took Aleph/Tav–coat of Joseph and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped Aleph/Tav–the coat in the blood; 32 And they sent Aleph/Tav–coat of the stripes, and they brought [it] to their father; and said, cut from {Zayin/}Aleph/Tav have we found: please know whether she your son's coat or no. 33 And he knew her, and said, my son's coat; an evil creature has devoured him; Joseph [h2963]is torn in pieces [h2963]torn in pieces. 34 And Jacob rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days.
- [Gen 37:7,11-20] 7 And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife lifted up her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. … 11 And it came to pass as this day, and he came to the house to do his work; and no man of the men of the house there in the house. 12 And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and went out [to] the outside. 13 And it came to pass, as she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and had fled [to] the outside, 14 That she called unto the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in a Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice: 15 And it came to pass, when he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment beside me, and fled, and went out [to] the outside. 16 And she laid up his garment beside her, until his lord came to his house. 17 And she spake unto him like these words, saying, The Hebrew servant, which thou hast brought unto us, came in unto me to mock me: 18 And it came to pass, as I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment beside me, and fled [to] the outside. 19 And it came to pass, when his master heard Aleph/Tav–the words of his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, like these things did your servant to me; that his anger was kindled. 20 And Joseph's master took Aleph/Tav{/Vav} him, and delivered him into the prison house, a place where the king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison house.
- [Mark 14:48-52 KJV] 48 And Yahusha answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and [with] staves to take me? 49 I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled. 50 And they all forsook him, and fled. 51 And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about naked; and the young men laid hold on him: 52 And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.
- [Mark 15:16-20 KJV] 16 And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called Praetorium; and they call together the whole band. 17 And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his [head], 18 And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews! 19 And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing [their] knees worshipped him. 20 And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.
- [Mark 15:42-47 KJV] 42 And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath, 43 Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Yahusha. 44 And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling [unto him] the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead. 45 And when he knew [it] of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph. 46 And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre. 47 And Mary Magdalene and Mary [the mother] of Joses beheld where he was laid.
- [Mark 16:1-6 KJV] 1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the [mother] of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. 2 And very early in the morning the first of the sabbaths, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. 3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? 4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. 5 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. 6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Yahusha of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
- [Revelation 7:9-17 KJV] 9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and [about] the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, [be] unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. 13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Envy
- [Gen 37:2-8] 2 These generations of Jacob. Joseph, a son of seventeen years, was feeding the flock of Aleph/Tav–his brothers; and he a lad, Aleph/Tav–sons of Bilhah, and Aleph/Tav–sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report. 3 Now Israel loved Aleph/Tav–Joseph more than all his children, because he [was] the son of his old age: and he made him a coat[h3801] of [h6446]stripes. 4 And when his brothers saw that their father loved Aleph/Tav{/Vav} him more than all his brothers, they hated Aleph/Tav{/Vav} him, and could not speak peaceably unto him. 5 And Joseph dreamed[h2492] a dream[h2472], and he told his brothers: and they hated him yet the more. 6 And he said unto them, Please hear this dream which I have dreamed: 7 For, behold, we binding[h481] sheaves[h485] in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and bowed down to my sheaf. 8 And his brothers said to him, shall you [h4427]reign to reign over us? or shall you [h4910]rule to rule over us? And they hated Aleph/Tav{/Vav} him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.
- [Matthew 21:33-43 KJV] 33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country: 34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. 35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. 36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise. 37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. 38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. 39 And they caught him, and cast out of the vineyard, and slew. 40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen? 41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons. 42 Yahusha saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? 43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
- [Mark 15:6-15 KJV] 6 Now at [that] feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired. 7 And there was named Barabbas, bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection. 8 And the multitude crying aloud began to desire as he had ever done unto them. 9 But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews? 10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy. 11 But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them. 12 And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do whom ye call the King of the Jews? 13 And they cried out again, Crucify him. 14 Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him. 15 And Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Yahusha, when he had scourged, to be crucified.
- [John 3:16-21 KJV] 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
- [John 11:43-53 KJV] 43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. 44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. 45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him. 46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Yahusha had done. 47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles. 48 If we let him thus alone, all will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation. 49 And one of them, Caiaphas[my], being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, 50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. 51 And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; 52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad. 53 Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.
- [John 12:1-11 KJV] 1 Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead. 2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him. 3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Yahusha, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. 4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's [son], which should betray him, 5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? 6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein. 7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this. 8 For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always. 9 Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead. 10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death; 11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.
- [Romans 1:28-32 KJV] 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
